As the Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students at Augustana University, he has full responsibility for acclimating students, faculty, and staff from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds. He owns a consulting company and is the Chief Facilitator for MBJ Innovations, he has taken his training to the ultimate level and provides professional development for groups and individuals from a wide range of organizations, ages, and cultures. Mark additionally serves on the board for Establishing Sustainable Connections.

If you could have coffee with any author - dead or alive - who would it be? Why?

James Baldwin, I would like to feel his energy while we talk about societal issues. Also, Maya Angelo, to get inspiration from her in the flesh. The ability to hear her speak would empower me to keep striving and make a difference.
