Meet Our Volunteer: Carrie Jaeger

ree

What kind of volunteer work do you do at Reach?

I research and help curate our collection of online and vintage books. From identifying first editions to evaluating rare finds, I make sure these treasures are properly valued when we sell them.

What is your favorite part about volunteering at Reach?

I love books and reading, and I enjoy being around people who share my passion for them. Working with books at Reach allows me to promote literacy efforts in our community, and the best part is that it’s fun for me too!

What book sparked your love for reading?

When the Twilight series first came out, I couldn’t put it down! After years of reading nothing but college textbooks, it felt amazing to read something fun!

If you could spend a day in any book’s setting, where would it be?

The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman and The Road Back To You by Ian Morgan Cron and Suzanne Stabile.

What fictional world would you love to live in?

I would love to live in the "Bridgerton" world for a little while.

How has being a part of Reach impacted your reading habits?

I have added so many books to my to-read list. I also now donate most of the books that I have read to Reach so that someone else can enjoy them!
