REACH's pre-CNA classes offer a flexible curriculum that supports CNAs who are studying to pass the written CNA exam.

These classes are designed to support the following students:  

• someone working provisionally as a CNA and preparing to take the CNA test for the first time 

• someone working provisionally as a CNA who has failed the CNA knowledge test and requires help studying to retake

Classes do not teach the content of the CNA test. Rather, they reinforce vocabulary key to the role of a CNA, as well as introduce test taking strategies and practice exams to support student success.

​

The classes are designed to support EL students with high beginner/low intermediate English skills or above. It is also for those whose first language is English and who need study support.

 

The class will support students with varying home languages; however, instruction is given in English.  

​

Participants meet with a teacher and volunteers 1-3 times per week. Sessions are free of charge.

Pre-CNA Class at REACH (Western Mall)

Day: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays

Time: 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM (Mondays and Wednesdays)

4:30 PM to 6:30 PM (Tuesdays)

Meets from September 23 to December 18, 2024 (no classes the week of Thanksgiving)
